The wildlife on Verneukpan is typical arid area species. Steenbok, Bat eared fox, Black backed Jackal, Wild Cat, Caracal, Porcupine, Cape gray mongoose, Meerkat, Aardvark, Scrub hare, the Karoo Korhaan and plenty more birds and insects. We also have ±14 Springboks on our farm, which regularly can be seen on the pan.
Spot typical arid area species like Steenbok, Bat-eared fox, Black-backed Jackal, Wild Cat, meerkat, porcupine, caracal, various birds, and occasionally Springboks, including the Karoo Korhaan.
The months from August to October and then again February to April is your best time to camp here.
